This guide covers how to complete a Time & Materials (T&M) or Quoted Service ticket in the field using Terial on your mobile device or tablet. Follow these steps to work through each section of the ticket, from starting the work order to collecting a customer signature.

Note: Clicking Save or Save & Complete is equivalent, but the latter adds a green checkmark. Expand and collapse sections using the caret (^) next to each tab.
Starting the Work Order
Step 1: On your home screen, select the ticket that's assigned to you. Click "Start Work Order" on tablet or mobile device.
Working Through Sections
Step 2: Click "Section" and select an outline to begin the work order. You must have at least 1 section outlined to start.
Step 3: Add a work item and select from the dropdown. Select Okay.
Step 4: Mark the fix status, quantity, and place pins on the section. Repeat steps to complete work on multiple sections, if required.
Before and After Photos
Step 5: Add Before and After photos. Click on the photo to add captions.
Time Cards and Materials
Step 6: Fill out Time Cards and Materials used on the job.
Time Cards: Add one time card per technician (you'll have at least 2 time cards per ticket).
Materials Used: Select materials from a pre-set list. Write Crew Notes if a material is missing. Select Save & Complete.
Collecting Signature and Submitting
Step 7: Collect the on-site contact signature. Use the notes field to add any additional context. The signer can use their finger for the signature. Select Save & Complete.
Step 8: Send Ticket for Review by Office Staff. Once completed, click on the logo to return to the home page.
Congrats! You’ve Completed a Work Order.

💡 Troubleshoot: Can't edit a “completed” ticket?
Save your current progress and go to the Ticket from the Home Screen
Within the ticket, scroll to the card (e.g. Section, Time and Materials Used, etc.) you wish to edit and click on the Pencil for edit mode.
